چکیده

Abstract The world today has started facing bigger problems related to the concrete industry, especially with becoming most extensively used construction material in world. At a time like this, where more eco-friendly substitutions are stringent, it calls for comprehensive approach producing recycled from aggregates (RCA). This study is an extension previous studies involving composite utilization of pozzolans treating RCA. It investigates on possibility using rice husk ash (RHA) along other as cement replacement, both stages aggregate treatment and production. was observed that through this treatment, specific gravity increased value 2.37 which earlier 2.18 untreated RCA, 26% 59% reductions were obtained water absorption porosity aggregates, respectively. Further contained RHA stages, attained high strength 55.4 MPa, even surpassing control mix containing natural aggregates. same resulted 12% increase its surface resistivity. Rapid Chloride Permeability Test (RCPT) permeability results also showed substantial improvements when compared reference RCA mix. Similar use pozzolans, microstructure amelioration mechanical durability properties concrete. evidently indicates achieving strengths, derived parent concretes lower grades.

Evaluation of Coal Waste Ash and Rice Husk Ash on Properties of Pervious Concrete Pavement

The use of pervious concrete has been significantly considered in recent years. This consideration is due to the properties of pervious concrete in relating to the environmental sustainability that is utilized in the effective management of the runoff from rainfall. Coal extraction and rice husk obtained from milling, produces wastes that have no application and followed by environmental pollut...

Combine Use of Fly Ash and Rice Husk Ash in Concrete to Improve its Properties (RESEARCH NOTE)

This research paper describes the study of combined effect of Fly Ash (FA) and Rice Husk Ash (RHA) on properties of concrete as partial replacement of Ordinary Portland Cement (OPC). These by-products are having high pozzolanic reactivity. In this research, the composition of mix was used with 10% RHA along with 10, 20 and 30% FA as partial replacement of cement. In this study, the compressive ...

Influence of High Temperatures on Flexural Strength of Foamed Concrete Containing Fly Ash and Polypropylene Fiber

In this study, the elevated temperature flexural strengths of lightweight foamed concrete (LFC) containing fly ash (FA) and polypropylene fiber (PF) was investigated experimentally and statistically. The variables included were the temperature degrees (in a range of 20 to 600°C), LFC densities of 600, 800, 1000, 1200 and 1400 kg/m3 and additive content. Two mixes were made by replacing 15% and ...

Strength of Mortar and Concrete as Influenced by Rice Husk Ash: A Review

Due to the pozzolanic reactivity, rice husk ash (RHA) is used as supplementary cementing material in mortar and concrete and has demonstrated significant influence in improving the mechanical and durability properties of mortar and concrete. It has economical and technical advantages to use in concrete. In this paper, a critical review on the influences of RHA on the strength of mortar and conc...

Environmentally-Friendly Dense and Porous Geopolymers Using Fly Ash and Rice Husk Ash as Raw Materials

This paper assesses the feasibility of two industrial wastes, fly ash (FA) and rice husk ash (RHA), as raw materials for the production of geopolymeric pastes. Three typologies of samples were thus produced: (i) halloysite activated with potassium hydroxide and nanosilica, used as the reference sample (HL-S); (ii) halloysite activated with rice husk ash dissolved into KOH solution (HL-R); (iii)...
